Below are some common questions about the ingredients we use

Is your kitchen gluten-free?

Yes, our kitchen maintains a 100% gluten-free environment.

Is sugar used in your menu items?

There’s no added sweeteners in any of our food. We do include unrefined sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, and other clean paleo and keto-approved sweeteners in our baked goods, and some of our sauces. For detailed information check our nutrition page.

Is your menu dairy-free?

While our kitchen isn’t dairy-free, dairy is only used when specified and requested by the customer. We offer garlic grass-fed butter as a mix in option, and cheeses as add-ins.

What oils do you use in your dishes?

All our house-made items are free from seed oils.

We exclusively use cold-pressed single-sourced extra virgin Italian olive oil for cooking. For baking, we use cold-pressed extra virgin coconut oil.

Our dressings and sauces primarily feature extra-virgin Italian olive oil. Aioli is made with cold-pressed avocado oil.

What quality ingredients do you use?

We use grass-fed meats, hormone-free organic poultry, and pasture-raised eggs. We also exclusively source wild fish for optimal nutritional value.

How do you ensure allergen safety?

Locanut is at the forefront of allergen-free, safe food handling, and meticulous sourcing of ingredients. We provide individually packed meals avoiding any cross contamination. We label our menu accordingly. Please add your allergens to notes when ordering!

5. Place the order

How does subscription work?

1. Choose the meal plan that best fits your preferences
2. Choose your starting date — our meal plan subscriptions start on Monday
3. Choose your meals and subscribe for a weekly meal delivery
4. Get email with access to Customer portal to manage your subscription
5. Subscription renews every Monday for the next week delivery

How often do I get food deliveries?

We deliver twice a week — on Sunday and Wednesday — for 5-Day Meal Plans. And once a week — on Sundays — for 3-Day Meal Plans. 

What areas do you deliver to?

We currently deliver within Manhattan only. If you're nearby, you can also opt for in-store pickup. But we're constantly improving, Brooklyn is our next goal!

Сan I switch between different meal plans?


Yes, you have the flexibility to switch between meal plans based on your preferences.

Log in to your Customer Portal —> Choose your subscription and click ‘See More Details’ —> Click ‘Swap Product’ next to the meal plan name —> Switch between 3-Day and 5-Day meal plans clicking ‘Confirm Swap’

If you’d like to try another different meal plan, please contact us and we’ll help to change that.

Can I customize my meal plan, swap meals?

Absolutely! Swap meals with ease, allowing adjustments 3 days prior to your next order.
Log in to your Customer Portal —> Choose your subscription and click ‘See More Details’ —> Choose the meal and click ‘Swap’ —> Select the new one and click ‘Confirm Swap’

Can I pause my subscription?

Sure! Log in to your Customer Portal —> Choose your subscription and click ‘Pause Subscription’

How to cancel subscription?

Log in to your Customer Portal —> Choose your subscription and click ‘Cancel Subscription’
